Someone give me sound advice before I shoot this mofo

My dilemma.....

I have a large lot next to my house (over 5 acres) and some jerkoff keeps driving through it to get to another lot. I told him at least 3 times to stop using my land as his personal road but he continues to do it. I put up a wire fence thinking he'll finally get the message but I saw him step down on the wire and drive through again.

Anyone have any legal advice?

I mean can I get a gun and shoot him? or his car? Would I go to jail if I did even though he keep trespassing on my property????

I can't put up a fence because it'll cost at least $10k.

Ok yeah. Definitely can't shoot him then. Best thing to do is videotape him and then call the cops next time he does it. You already asked him not to. Maybe send him an official notice in writing and have a delivery confirmation to his house, so htat you have a leg to stand on should you need to go to court or anything like that.

It bothers me because it's MY land and I paid alot of money for it. So why should anyone else get to use it?

And this is fertile land that I am planning to turn it in to an orchard and by driving on it it's killing off the nutrients in the soil.

It's actually some middle aged punk who was hired by an owner of an adjacent lot to work there. He keeps driving his big ass truck through it like it's his personal driveway, even though the lot he's going to has its own entrance. The bastard just doesn't want to drive the extra 200ft to get to it I guess.

What pisses me off is I see him driving by my house very slowly, looking to see if I'm home and if my car isn't parked right outside, he goes ahead and trespasses.

I am going to Big 5 and getting me a damn shot gun.

What will happen if I call the police? Will they write him a ticket or just "talk" to him? I guess I'll need a videotape of him trespassing in case he denies it?

Man, this guy pisses me off so much.... I mean when you're asked politely to stop trespassing and a barrier is put up, you should friggin respect it. I'll bet if someone drove through his backyard he'd shoot first. Bastard.
